There’s two camps when it comes to Christmas; those who love family time and those who rather bury themselves in a pile of snow. Regardless of where you fall, Sunday River is an escape from your normal Christmas routine. If you’re looking for some quality snow and curated fun, we at Sunday River offer you the following tips for how to make the most of Christmas Week:
Eddy the Yeti
Eddy the Yeti dinners sell out fast. If you want to avoid the inevitable meltdown when you deprive your child of getting to meet their favorite Yeti and getting their favorite Yeti’s autograph, book your tickets by calling 800-543-2754 #hotlinebling. Dinners are being held on December 26 and 28 (now sold out). Tickets are $25 for adults and $14 for children 12 and under.
Camp isn’t a place where you pitch a tent and climb into your sleeping bag. It’s a place filled with food, warmth and a top notch beer selection. If you’d like to enjoy a glass of Sauvignon Blanc or a pint of Oxbow with a side of Maine Blueberry BBQ Wings, in ~silence~, lucky for you! Camp is offering a kids buffet for your little darlings so mom and dad can dine alone.
We know you’ll probably be lapping White Heat all day, everyday, so we understand if you’re a bit tired. But in the beauty that is childhood, those darn kids can just keep on skiing. Good news is that there is night skiing all week long at South Ridge from 4 to 8 p.m. So not only can you tucker out your little rippers, you can watch them from the comfort of the Foggy Goggle deck with a pint of Bissell Brothers, a classic Bloody Mary and a famous plate of nachos. By the time 8 p.m. rolls around, those kids will be ready to P.T.F.O.
For parents who are hoping for a break from the smiling faces of their present-hungry munchkins, Sunday River proudly offers half-day daycare for $64 with a reservation and for $74 without one. We implore you to pawn off your children to our reputable and well-trained staff while you hit the slopes for first tracks or head to the Jordan for a couples massage. Then, once you’re nice and relaxed, you can do laps with your nuggets.
Kid’s Night Out
Want another night to yourself? Kid’s Night Out on Dec. 30 will keep your kids fed, entertained, and supervised at South Ridge from 5 to 8 p.m. So while your kids are munching on pizza, you can be heading to Sliders, Shipyard or any other of Newry and Bethel’s finest restaurants.
