What We’re Drinking: Our Favorite Maine Beers This Summer

Summer and cold beer just go hand-in-hand. Here are just three of our favorite brews that are perfect for those long summer days (and nights).

Sou’Wester | Rising Tide Brewing

This sour IPA (launched only a year ago) has that perfect blend of bright & fruity combined with the satisfaction of an IPA. It’s a great introductory sour for those not quite digging them yet.

Preble Mango Peach | Fore River Brewing Co.

Yes, it’s another sour, but we’re not ashamed. Preble Rasberry is already one of our favorite beers served in the Foggy Goggle all winter. This winter addition takes it up a notch with flavors of mango and peach swirling through the tart goodness of this sour ale.

Summer Swelter | Baxter Brewing Co.

Not your typical fruit-summer-brew, Summer Swlter’s hoppy summer ale shows off its citrus, lemongrass, and kaffir lime flavors without upping the sweet factor. It is the perfect companion to bring to the next outdoor BBQ.
