Staying Slopeside With Fur Friends

Sometimes traveling with a dog can be hard, like where you can stay or what you can do with your furry friend. Luckily at Sunday River, we’ve got you covered. If you’re heading up to Sunday River with your faithful companion, we have provided you with some options on where you can stay and what you can do to occupy your pooch.

Where to Stay –

While you’re on the slopes –

While you’re out on the slopes there are also great options for keeping the dogs content. Check out Barker Brook Kennels and Tucker’s Dog House for day lodging for the pups, so you both can spend the day full of play.

What to do off the slopes –

Time for a walk! There are lots of hiking and walking trails around the Newry and Bethel area. The Mahoosuc Land Trust has beautiful places to take dogs from easy walks to hard hikes. Valentine Farm Trail is a good place to go in the winter for a simple walk in the woods with your pal. Mount Will is also a great place to go nearby for a moderate hiking loop through the woods.

After you leave, your dog will already be booking your next trip.
