What a season it has been! From huge snowstorms to endless blue bird days, it sure was one for the books. With opening day on October 19 and the last day on April 28, a lot of skiing and riding has been had. Let’s reminisce on this incredible season as we impatiently wait for it to start again… Just 5 more months right?
The stoke was high opening in October as skiers and riders were chomping at the bit to get on the slopes. With the leaves changing it was quite the site on the snow covered slopes.
Or shall we say Snowvember. We knew it was going to be a good one when the snow wouldn’t stop coming. With storm after storm our base kept building and the mountain was under a beautiful white blanket.
With the holiday cheer filling the air, families and friends gathered around the slopes to enjoy their vacations. With a mix of sunshine and snow, all was jolly leading into the New Year.
New year, more snow. 2019 kicked off with a bang bringing us 6″ to start the month. And after that, it just wouldn’t stop. With 5 feet of snow just in January, things were looking good going into February.
With a huge base and even more snow, powder stashes were bigger than ever. Between perfect corduroy with dry snow for carving, and endless goods in the woods, the whole mountain was just pure perfection. The hardest part was deciding which trail to take.
Endless bluebird days were on the agenda for March. With the snow still dry and squeaky, the sun out, and the clear blue sky, shredding the slopes was beyond delightful. Early morning corduroy carving was simply unbeatable.
April gave us those warm days we crave with blue sky, sunshine, and awesome soft and playful snow. With the sun high in the sky the goggle tans were in full swing. Plus, we even had a flash back to winter for a few days with a some April snow storms. But, in the end skiers and riders slashed up the soft snow and celebrated an amazing season.
